Key Export and Import Flows

Since renewing their Bilateral Trade Agreement in 1994, trade between Vietnam and Algeria has expanded steadily. Vietnam exports products such as coffee, cashews, pepper, seafood, textiles, and steel, while Algeria supplies electronics, carob, chicken feet, and animal feed.

The two countries also cooperate in the energy sector. A joint venture in the Bir Seba oil field produces approximately 17,500–18,000 barrels per day, highlighting the strategic importance of Vietnam Algeria trade in oil and gas.

Investment and Strategic Cooperation

Algerian authorities actively encourage Vietnamese investment across multiple sectors, including agriculture, textiles, tourism, logistics, and pharmaceuticals. Both nations aim to leverage their strategic locations to serve as gateways into Africa and Asia, boosting regional trade potential.

Business Forums and Private Sector Engagement

Regular business forums, international expos, and online conferences have strengthened private-sector ties between the two countries. Analysts suggest these initiatives signal a long-term deepening of Vietnam Algeria trade, creating sustainable opportunities for investors and exporters alike.
